The Warkworth Lilac Festival Photo Show is very fortunate to have retained the expertise of two highly qualified professionals!
The WLF Photo Show Judge looks forward to being present to meet and to share with participants and visitors to the Gallery Showplace on The Festival Weekend. Further details will be posted early in May.
Michael has been making photographs for over 45 Years.
Retiring in 2009 allowed him to concentrate on his passion for photography and continue learning more about the craft. He Joined the Ajax Photography Club in 2013. Winning the Greater Toronto Council of Camera Clubs Print Competition a couple of years later pushed him to begin studies to become a judge. Since then, he has participated in many photo competitions.
“I think I enjoy photography most because it causes me to pay attention to things I want to celebrate or share. There are moments that we all think, ‘everyone should see this.’ Some of those moments are beautiful or happy or sad. They help make us who we are. Paying attention to the moment and hanging on to it is perhaps a contradiction. It might say, I was there, I saw what you felt, and it is important, real, valued.
It is a privilege to judge the 2019 Warkworth Lilac Festival Photo Show and I am looking forward to seeing all the photographs."
